Joe Pennywell, front row, second from the right,
stayed on Okinawa as a civilian at the time. He lived as the
Okinawans lived and as a result he contracted a virus that almost
killed him.
That is all that I know of this photo. Any information as to
names and circumstances would be appreciated and the proper credit
given.
