Isshinryu Karate-do
Greg Gudson

Greg Gudson began studying martial arts in 1966. He
began with Judo in the United Kingdom and in 1972 he became
interested in Karate after visiting an Isshin-Ryu dojo in Holyoke
Ma. He then began studying Tae Kwon Do at Westover AFB, MA.
He continued studying TKD in Germany from 1974 to
1976, in the UK from 1979 to 1983. He trained in Korea from 1986 to
1987 and in Yuba City Ca. from 1987 to 1992. While in CA. he also
began studying Tang Soo Do and Kuk Sul Won.
In 1992 he began studying the art that got him
interested in Karate, Isshinryu under Tsuyoshi Uechi and Master Uezu
until 1999.
Greg Gudson has been the secretary of the OIKKA
under Master Uezu and Sensei Uechi from 1995-1999.
Greg Gudson was awarded Go-dan (5th dan) by Angi
Uezu on July 30, 2003.
Mr. Gudson retired in July 2005 from the U.S. Air
Force after serving for over 29 years, 7 months. He currently
teaches Isshin-Ryu in Las Vegas where he is the only practitioner
actively teaching Isshin-Ryu.
